We want to make you aware of two new fraud attempts targeting our customers this week. Please take a few minutes to review the details below so you can help protect yourself from scams

 

1. Scam Text Messages

We’ve been alerted to a new phishing scam where customers are receiving text messages that appear to come from Chambers Bank.

The text reads:

“Chambers B*nk: Due to recent activity, we placed a hold on your card until you verify info. Visit useasydocs.com/chambersbnk to verify.”

This message is NOT from Chambers Bank.

These scammers are attempting to trick you into clicking the link and entering your personal and/or account information.

If you receive a message like this:

•  DO NOT click any links or reply to the message.
•  Delete the message immediately.
•  If you clicked the link or entered information, contact us right away at 1-800-603-1226.

Know that Chambers Bank will NEVER ask for login credentials or verification through text or email links.


2. Phone Scam Alert – Impersonation of Treasury Management

This afternoon, a customer received a call from a man named “Leslie” claiming to be from Chambers Bank Treasury Management. "Leslie" asked the customer to provide the business username and password to their banking accounts.

Please be vigilant. Fraudsters are becoming more sophisticated and are using names, titles, and phone numbers that appear legitimate.

If you receive a call like this:

•  Hang up immediately.
•  If you gave out any banking information on a call you did not initiate, contact us right away at 1-800-603-1226.

Know that Chambers Bank will NEVER ask for login credentials or verification by calling you.

 

Stay alert vigilant with your personal and banking information. When in doubt, hang up, delete, and call us directly at 1-800-603-1226.
