After 12 years of exemplary service, June McLeron will retire from Chambers Bank at the end of the year. In addition to her role on the finance team, McLeron was involved in many community service projects through the bank and her church. In 2020, she coordinated the purchase and distribution of school supplies to more than 500 foster kids in the River Valley, ensuring that they would have what they needed to complete their school work during the pandemic.
McLeron's post-retirement plans are to become even more active in her local church and start a detailed study of the Bible. She wants to spend more time volunteering at hospitals or wherever else she is needed and looks forward to doing more camping and fishing with her family. She also hopes to spend more time with her beloved grandchildren, with her sixth (and probably last) grandbaby Isla Reign due in March 2024.
"I have loved my time at Chambers Bank and all the bank team," McLeron said. "I am very grateful to Johnny and Mike for taking a chance on me and to Mike and Landi for being super fantastic supervisors. I will certainly miss everyone, but I will not miss getting up and getting ready for work, as I am not a morning person."
We wish you all the best, June! Thank you for being a terrific teammate and friend to all of us at Chambers Bank.
