FDIC Insurance

Chambers Bank is an FDIC insured bank. The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation protects funds placed in financial institutions and is backed by the full faith and credit of the United States government, ensuring there is no safer place for your funds than in an FDIC insured bank. Since established, no depositor has lost a penny of FDIC insured funds.

What is covered? Checking accounts, saving and money market accounts, certificates of deposit (including individual retirement accounts)

What amount is covered? The standard insurance amount is $250,000 per depositor, per insured bank, for each account ownership category. What this means is that, based on the number of owners/ownership categories, there are many ways in which customers have additional insurance coverage.

How do I know if my accounts are fully covered? You can always reach out to a representative at your local branch, who will be glad to calculate your coverage for you. You can also locate all FDIC insured financial institutions and read more detailed information regarding how coverage is calculated on the FDIC website at: https://www.fdic.gov/deposit/.
